1. Can you match all the pieces of our order?

Whilst every care is taken in the selection of veneers, with the use of more and more solid timbers we cannot guarantee a perfect match between pieces ordered although over time the doors and drawers should mellow to a coordinated look.

2. Some of the doors and drawers of my furniture has knots

The natural characteristics of wood means that it will have knots and differing grains, whilst we try to match these on each piece it is not always possible to guarantee a match from one piece of furniture to another.

3. The drawers/doors on my unit do not align properly

All our furniture is aligned on a level surface however, once in a house, if it is placed on an uneven surface then the doors may no longer align properly. All hinges are adjustable to alleviate this problem or by placing a block out of site under the appropriate foot this should bring them all into alignment.

4. Will daylight cause any colour change to my furniture?

Natural disturbances can occur when wood is exposed to daylight over a prolonged period. You are advised to move objects from time to time and to extend tables in order to ensure that this mellowing is even.

5. My Furniture is developing a split in the wood

Wood products are very much like our skin if exposed to dry humid conditions, then it will loose its moisture content and dry out, this may cause splits and cracks to appear. To avoid this we advise you to take care and not place your furniture over or near a direct heat source and also avoid having the room temperature too high.

6. The legs on my table are not straight

Sometimes after assembling your table, the legs do not appear to be entirely straight. This is simple to correct, when the table is fully assembled and correctly righted. Loosen the leg bolts or fixings slightly, nudge the legs into the correct position and re-secure.

7. My lights are not working

If your lights fitting have stopped working, please check all connections are intact and that the fuse in the plug has not blown. Remember light fittings can overheat if used for prolonged periods of time. Please refer to our guarantee for the life expectancy of fitments, bulbs and transformer.

8. Why has my furniture discoloured where I have placed an object

By leaving objects such as placemats, runners, bowls or ornamental pieces on your wooden furniture for prolonged period the wood underneath will change to a different tone to the rest of the top panel. This is because the wood is not getting an even exposure to the natural light. If you remove the fixed object, over time it will rectify itself. We do not class this as a manufacturing fault.
